Jorge Yeregui es artista visual, arquitecto y profesor en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Málaga. Su trabajo investiga la construcción del paisaje y la transformación del territorio, abordando cuestiones como la relación entre arquitectura y medioambiente o la influencia de los mercados en el crecimiento urbano. Sus proyectos más recientes adoptan la forma de ensayos visuales complejos en los que combina texto, vídeo e instalación, ampliando los límites del lenguaje fotográfico. Ha recibido premios, encargos y becas de instituciones como la Fundación Botín, el Ministerio de Cultura, el Premio Internacional de Fotografía Contemporánea Pilar Citoler, el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y el Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo. Su obra se expone regularmente en instituciones y festivales internacionales como PhotoEspaña, Roma, Pingyao o Fotofestiwal. Ha participado en la Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo y colabora en proyectos de investigación con universidades españolas. Su trabajo forma parte de importantes colecciones públicas y privadas.
Jorge Yeregui is a visual artist, architect and professor at the School of Architecture in Málaga. His work investigates the construction of landscape and the transformation of territory, addressing issues such as the relationship between architecture and the environment or the influence of markets on urban growth. His most recent projects take the form of complex visual essays combining text, video and installation, expanding the boundaries of photographic language. He has received awards, commissions and grants from institutions including the Botín Foundation, the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Pilar Citoler Contemporary Photography Prize, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art. His work is regularly exhibited in institutions and international festivals such as PhotoEspaña, the Rome International Festival, Pingyao Photography Festival and Fotofestiwal. He has participated in the Ibero-American Architecture and Urbanism Biennial and collaborates in research projects with Spanish universities. His work is included in major public and private collections.
