Pintora nacida en España en 1942, vive y trabaja en Madrid. Se forma en dibujo y pintura en la academia de Eduardo Peña, amplía sus estudios en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios en la especialidad de modelado y frecuenta los talleres del Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.

En 1987 participa en el grupo artístico Ruedo Ibérico, impulsado por José Caballero. A mediados de los años ochenta incorpora el collage y el acrílico, desplazando progresivamente el uso del óleo. A partir de 2006 introduce técnicas digitales a partir de la imagen fotográfica, ampliando así su lenguaje pictórico.

A lo largo de su trayectoria ha sido reconocida con numerosos premios, entre ellos el Premio Pintura Vázquez Díaz (1986), la Medalla de Oro en la Bienal de El Cairo (1989), el Premio Nacional de Grabado (2002) y el Premio Castilla y León de las Artes (2015).

Su obra está presente en importantes colecciones y museos, como el Museo Reina Sofía, MUSAC, CAC Málaga, la Fundación Juan March o la Fundación Antonio Pérez, entre otros.

Born in Spain in 1942, the painter lives and works in Madrid. She trained in drawing and painting at Eduardo Peña’s academy, expanded her studies in modeling at the School of Arts and Crafts, and regularly attended the drawing workshops at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

In 1987 she joined the artistic group Ruedo Ibérico, founded by José Caballero. From the mid-1980s onwards, she incorporated collage and acrylic into her practice, gradually replacing oil painting, which she had used until then. In 2006 she began developing works based on photography using digital techniques, further expanding her pictorial language.

Throughout her career she has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Vázquez Díaz Painting Prize (1986), the Gold Medal at the Third Cairo International Biennial (1989), the National Printmaking Prize from the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Printmaking (2002), and the Castilla y León Arts Award (2015).

Her work is included in major collections and museums such as the Museo Reina Sofía, MUSAC, CAC Málaga, the Juan March Foundation, the Antonio Pérez Foundation, the Julius Baer Collection in Geneva, and the International Museum of Graphic Art in Cairo.
