Álex Bascuas es fotógrafo y periodista, licenciado en Historia. Tras una etapa en Australia, incorporó la fotografía como lenguaje artístico y documental para explorar las relaciones entre el ser humano y su entorno. Entre sus proyectos destacan Lo Esencial, Monocromía en Chocolate City y Belleza y Decadencia en Coober Pedy, finalista de la beca MAPA Lens. En 2025 recibió una Beca Talento del Máster PHotoESPAÑA y su proyecto The Mystic fue seleccionado para Phiesta 2025. Sus trabajos recientes abordan memoria, identidad y experiencias colectivas desde perspectivas documentales y colaborativas.
Álex Bascuas is a photographer and journalist with a degree in History. After spending time in Australia, he adopted photography as an artistic and documentary language to explore the relationship between human beings and their environment. His projects include Lo Esencial, Monocromía en Chocolate City, and Belleza y Decadencia en Coober Pedy, finalist for the MAPA Lens grant. In 2025, he received a PHotoESPAÑA Master’s Talent Grant, and his project The Mystic was selected for Phiesta 2025. His recent works explore memory, identity, and collective experiences through documentary and collaborative approaches.
