Colectivo artístico con raíces en el graffiti, fundado en Madrid a finales de 2001 por los licenciados en Bellas Artes Pablo Ferreiro y Juan Jaume, el artista Rubén Martín de Lucas, el ilustrador Pablo Purón y el arquitecto Javier Serrano. En la actualidad, el colectivo continúa activo con Pablo Ferreiro, Pablo Purón y Javier Serrano. El nombre “buena mezcla” hace referencia a la naturaleza colaborativa y simbiótica del grupo.
Su práctica se desarrolla principalmente en el espacio público, entendido como un campo de intervención donde la obra actúa como agente de transformación social, modificando las relaciones entre las personas y su entorno, así como los vínculos comunitarios.
Han realizado proyectos en más de 40 países, en colaboración con organizaciones como la ONU, Amnistía Internacional, PNUD, Greenpeace, Acción contra el Hambre y Cruz Roja, entre otras.
Su trabajo ha sido presentado en bienales internacionales como la Bienal de Venecia (Pabellón de España, 2012), la Bienal de Arte de La Habana (2015) o la Bienal de Dakar (2022), así como en instituciones como el Museo Reina Sofía, MAXXI Roma, Hyundai Museum ALT1 de Seúl o La Casa Encendida. Han recibido la Medalla de Bronce en los World Habitat Awards (ONU Hábitat, 2018) por su metodología de trabajo.
An art collective rooted in graffiti, founded in Madrid in late 2001 by Fine Arts graduates Pablo Ferreiro and Juan Jaume, visual artist Rubén Martín de Lucas, illustrator Pablo Purón, and architect Javier Serrano. The collective remains active today with Pablo Ferreiro, Pablo Purón, and Javier Serrano. The name “buena mezcla” (“good mix”) refers to the collaborative and symbiotic nature of the group.
Their practice is primarily developed in public space, understood as a field of intervention where artworks function as transformative agents, reshaping the relationship between people and their environments, as well as community bonds.
They have carried out projects in more than 40 countries in collaboration with organizations such as the UN, Amnesty International, UNDP, Greenpeace, Action Against Hunger, and the Red Cross, among others.
Their work has been presented at international biennials including the Venice Biennale (Spanish Pavilion, 2012), Havana Biennial (2015), and Dakar Biennial (2022), as well as institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofía, MAXXI Rome, Hyundai Museum ALT1 Seoul, and La Casa Encendida. They were awarded the Bronze Medal at the World Habitat Awards (UN-Habitat, 2018) for their working methodology.
