Francesca Woodman (1958–1981) fue una fotógrafa estadounidense cuya obra en blanco y negro explora la desaparición del cuerpo y la intimidad. Formada en Rhode Island School of Design, desarrolló autorretratos donde la figura femenina aparece en movimiento, borrosa o fusionada con el entorno. Francesca Woodman (1958–1981) was an American photographer whose black-and-white work explores bodily disappearance and intimacy. Trained at the Rhode Island School of Design, she created self-portraits in which the female figure appears in motion, blurred, or merging with its surroundings. Part of a generation of 1970s women artists such as Cindy Sherman and Ana Mendieta, her practice articulates questions of identity, presence, and absence through a poetic visual language.
