Marta Vela es artista y fotógrafa residente en Madrid. Graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, actualmente cursa el Máster de Proyectos Artísticos PHotoESPAÑA y LAB ALUMNI Studio. Su trabajo, desarrollado mediante fotografía analógica, grabado y dibujo, reflexiona sobre la relación entre memoria e imagen desde experiencias vinculadas a la fragilidad psicológica. En su proyecto Recordis, construye nuevas narrativas a partir de imágenes de archivo, textos, retratos y fragmentos familiares, explorando la identidad, el recuerdo y la reconstrucción de la memoria.
Actualmente, cursa el Master PHotoESPAÑA.
Marta Vela is an artist and photographer based in Madrid. She graduated in Fine Arts from Complutense University of Madrid and is currently pursuing the PHotoESPAÑA Master’s in Artistic Projects and LAB ALUMNI Studio. Through analog photography, printmaking, and drawing, her work reflects on the relationship between memory and image, particularly in connection with psychological fragility. In her project Recordis, she creates new narratives using archival images, texts, portraits, and family fragments, exploring identity, remembrance, and the reconstruction of memory.
