Matar desarrolla series fotográficas como SHE, L’Enfant Femme, Unspoken Conversations, Women Coming of Age, A Girl and Her Room, Invisible Children y Ordinary Lives. obra explora género, identidad experiencias femeninas en distintos contextos nacionales. Destacan retratos de madres hijas la transición entre infancia y adultez. Tras un viaje a Beirut en 2014 inició Invisible Children sobre infancia refugiada siria. En 2017 participó en la Biennale del Mundo Árabe en París.
Matar produces photographic series including SHE, L’Enfant Femme, Unspoken Conversations, Women Coming of Age, A Girl and Her Room, Invisible Children, and Ordinary Lives. work explores gender, identity, women’s experiences across national contexts. Mother-daughter portraits the transition from childhood to adulthood are central. After a 2014 trip to Beirut she began Invisible Children on Syrian refugee childhood. In 2017 she exhibited at the Biennale of the Contemporary Arab World in Paris.
