Yonca Karakaş es una artista y fotógrafa basada en Estambul cuya práctica se sitúa en la intersección entre memoria, identidad y construcción de lo real. A través de la fotografía, explora universos alternativos donde historia, religión y psicología se entrelazan. Su obra cuestiona los sistemas de conocimiento y percepción, utilizando imágenes híbridas que combinan lo humano, lo animal y lo vegetal para reconfigurar la noción de realidad contemporánea.
Yonca Karakaş is an Istanbul-based artist and photographer whose practice operates at the intersection of memory, identity and the construction of reality. Through photography, she explores alternative universes where history, religion and psychology intertwine. Her work questions systems of knowledge and perception, using hybrid imagery that merges human, animal and vegetal forms to reconfigure contemporary notions of reality and open speculative possibilities beyond established frameworks of meaning.
