La Real Sociedad Fotográfica celebra este año su 125 aniversario y para conmemorar esta fecha rinde homenaje a dos de sus socios más destacados, Juan Manuel Castro Prieto y Vicente Lopez Tofiño. Una exposición que refleja una de sus innumerables aventuras fotográficas compartidas, en este caso en el año 2007. En ese año viajaron a Indía, un país tan maravilloso, como fascinante, repleto de contrastes, con su latente espiritualidad y la sencillez de su vida diaria, la luz del alba o la luz del atardecer. En estas fotografías, que se han expuesto en contadas ocasiones, los autores presentan su singular mirada, diversa y complementaria en una muestra en la que se adivina la complicidad y admiración mutua que los une, un diálogo esencial que conforma un espléndido testimonio del viaje.
The Real Sociedad Fotográfica is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, it is paying tribute to two of its most outstanding members, Juan Manuel Castro Prieto and Vicente Lopez Tofiño, through this exhibition, which reflects one of the countless photographic adventures they shared. In 2007, Castro Prieto and Tofiño travelled to India, a country of contrasts, with its latent spirituality and the simplicity of its daily life, tinged with the dawn and evening light.
In these photographs, which have only been exhibited a few times, the photographers present their unique, diverse and complementary gazes in a show that reveals the complicity and mutual admiration that unites them. It is an essential dialogue that serves as a wonderful testimony of the journey.
