From the very beginning, Sybilla’s work has been linked to a highly distinctive visual language that transcends fashion, positioning image as a form of expression—as art. Her archive brings together four decades of collaborations with key photographers such as Pepe Lamarca, Miguel Oriola, Ouka Leele, Javier Vallhonrat, Juan Gatti, Felix Valiente, and Stéphane Sednaoui.

Sybilla chose collaborators with their own unique universes, generating a creative dialogue in which each campaign proposes a way of appearing and of understanding the body, light, and space. The designer, who has always acted as the art director of her images, explains that creating an image together with photographers is the final step in the garment-making process—the culmination of her creative work. For this reason, she has always sought photographers with whom she could develop this creative complicity, a fundamental part of her practice.

Curated by the designer herself, the exhibition functions as a tribute to those who contributed to shaping her visual imagination. Presented at Galería Plaza del Gato, founded by Sybilla in Madrid, the exhibition turns the space into part of the narrative, hosting images that return with new meanings and reinforcing fashion photography as an autonomous artistic practice.
