Application requirements
Submit your application through the form, including your CV, a short bio, an ID document and a project dossier (PDF, max. 20MB).
The dossier should include a project title, a description (max. 500 words) and 25–35 images.
The participation fee is €650 (only for selected applicants), with scholarships available.
PHotoESPAÑA and Iberia present the second edition of PHotoESPAÑA PRO Talento a bordo, an international networking program designed to support the professional development of established photographers.
The program connects selected artists with curators, gallerists, editors and collectors from the international photography ecosystem, creating opportunities for collaboration, visibility and long-term professional growth.
Over three days in Madrid, participants take part in 8 one-to-one meetings (20 minutes each), group sessions and informal networking moments designed to encourage exchange and new ways of developing projects.
The program also includes talks with Spanish professionals and collaborative working sessions, as well as informal encounters such as coffee breaks, lunches and a closing cocktail.
As part of the 2026 Festival, PHotoESPAÑA will present an exhibition curated by Geaninne Guimarães (Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, New York and Bilbao), featuring artists from the previous edition. The exhibition will take place at Sala Picasso, Círculo de Bellas Artes (Madrid).
The project is part of Talento a bordo, an Iberia initiative that supports and connects Spanish and Spanish-speaking talent internationally.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Several institutions support the participation of selected photographers by covering the full program fee (€650).
- Iberia supports 10 photographers born in Spain.
- The Embassy of the Netherlands supports 8 Dutch artists.
- Institut français d’Espagne offers 2 scholarships for French photographers.
- The Royal Norwegian Embassy provides 2 scholarships for Norwegian photographers or residents in Norway.
- Goethe-Institut Madrid offers 2 scholarships for German artists.
- Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) supports 1 photographer from the Balearic Islands.
- The participation fee is €650 (only for selected participants). Scholarships cover the full fee. Travel and accommodation costs are not included.
