Bajo el título Volver a imaginar, en la XXIX edición de PHotoESPAÑA ponemos el foco en la creatividad fotográfica, la experimentación y la exploración de los límites de la imagen, así como en el cuestionamiento de lo real y de la autoridad. Reivindicamos la curiosidad, la imaginación, la liberación y la rebeldía.
Además, el Festival quiere hacer un guiño a la adolescencia y la juventud, un periodo en el que nos proyectamos hacia el futuro y nos pensamos en movimiento, siempre hacia delante. Somos conscientes de que PHE tiene la oportunidad y la responsabilidad de tender puentes con el público joven, con sus inquietudes, y con los artistas y agentes culturales de las generaciones venideras. Nosotros también queremos volver a imaginar qué significa un festival dedicado a la imagen en el siglo XXI.
Under the title Reimagining, the 29th edition of PHotoESPAÑA places the spotlight on photographic creativity, experimentation, and the exploration of the limits of the image, as well as on questioning reality and authority. We champion curiosity, imagination, liberation, and rebellion.
In addition, the Festival seeks to pay tribute to adolescence and youth—a time when we project ourselves into the future and conceive of ourselves in motion, always moving forward. We are aware that PHE has both the opportunity and the responsibility to build bridges with younger audiences, their concerns, and with the artists and cultural agents of generations to come. We, too, want to reimagine what it means to be a festival dedicated to the image in the 21st century.
